What’s wrong with it?
Damage to the wire can cause a loss of trailer braking, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. An electrical short of the brake wire can increase the risk of a fire.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018 Crossroads Cruiser and Volante recreational trailers.
The brake wire may have been improperly attached to the spring assembly on the axles, allowing the wire to be damaged and short circuit.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
