What’s wrong with it?
Leaking coolant could come into contact with passengers, increasing their risk of injury.
Nova Bus (Nova) is recalling certain 2013 LFS transit buses equipped with transmission oil coolers.
In the event of a transmission oil cooler failure, transmission fluid may mix with coolant that circulates through the passenger compartment heating system.
Exposure to transmission fluid may degrade the PEX connectors of the heating system, resulting in hot coolant leaking into the passenger area.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
