What’s wrong with it?

If the tires fail to meet the strength test requirements, the tire may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

Achieva Rubber Corp.

(Achieva) is recalling certain Innova Ultra Runner tires sizes 4.80-8, 4.80-12, 5.30-12, and 5.70-8 in 4 ply and 6 ply, and 5.30-12 and 5.70-8 in 8 ply with the date code rage of 0114 through 3917.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which tires, by their DOT codes: the range is in the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site, not in this file. Check the code on your tire’s sidewall against it.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
