The short answer

NHTSA received Fujian Wanda Automobile Glass Industry C’s report on Nov 27, 2018. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 24, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

The ECM damage may result in the engine stalling, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fujian Wanda Automobile Glass Industry (Wanda) is recalling certain aftermarket Replacement Windshields sold for use in 2014-2018 Toyota Highlander vehicles.

The windshields have an attached wire harness that water may leak into, possibly causing damage to the vehicle’s Engine Control Module (ECM).

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
