What’s wrong with it?
If the load capacity information is incorrect on the label, the vehicle may be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vehicles.
The label on the B-pillar may state a higher maximum vehicle load capacity than the vehicle is designed for.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
