The short answer

NHTSA received Tiny Idahomes LLC’s report on Aug 17, 2017. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A label with an incorrect GVWR can cause confusion to the user and improper loading of the vehicle, possibly increasing the risk of a crash.

Tiny Idahomes LLC (Tiny Idahomes) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Tiny Idahomes Clear Creek, Cascade, Sejour, Carpathian, Cargo Trailers; 2016 Tiny Idahomes Zamora Vardo; 2017 Tiny Idahomes Yala Peak, and Grand Teton; and 2017 Rugged Mountain Custom RVs models Clear Creek, Drive Stream, Chinook Peak, Mt.

Hood, Castle Peak, and Lincoln Peak recreational vehicles.

The Federal Placard on these vehicles may indicate an incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
