The short answer

NHTSA received McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc.’s report on Mar 23, 2017. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Corrosion of the fuel hose may result in a CNG leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, may increase the risk of a fire.

McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc.

(McNeilus) is recalling certain 2013-2015 HD REL-11, REL TG TAG-12, MA-42, M-44, ZR-48, AR-49, and Pacific LoPro FEL-88 Refuse Trucks, equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems by Agility Fuel Systems.

The affected CNG systems have flexible stainless steel, sleeved, high pressure hoses that may corrode from exposure to environmental conditions such as water mixed with road salt.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
