Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
The incorrect information on the labels could cause an owner to overinflate the tires, possibly resulting in a tire blowout, increasing the risk of a crash.
Airstream, Inc. is recalling certain 2017 Flying Cloud, International, and Sport recreational trailers.
The Federal Certification label and Tire Placards on these vehicles have incorrect information.
The label was printed for ST225/75R15 Load Range E tires, but the vehicle has ST225/75R15 Load Range D tires.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims” and Part 567, “Certification.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
