What’s wrong with it?
If the door detaches, it can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Cummins Inc.
(Cummins) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Cummins Power Generation Generator sets, models C60D6R, C150D2RE, C100D6R, C200D6R, C200D2RE, C275D2RE, and C300D6R, manufactured December 18, 2015, to October 3, 2016.
The affected generator sets have been mounted on trailers, and due to the possibility that the door hinges may fail, the generator set doors may detach while the trailer is being moved.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
