What’s wrong with it?
Loss of steering control can increase the risk of a crash.
Fontaine Modification (Fontaine) is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 Fontaine-modified Peterbilt 220 and Kenworth 370 dual-steer vehicles manufactured September 30, 2013, to August 22, 2016.
The right hand side steering may fail due to an improperly press-fitted steering shaft.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
