What’s wrong with it?
If an abnormal distance is required to stop the motorcycle, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Piaggio Group Americas, Inc.
(Piaggio) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Aprilia Tuono V4 1000, 2016 Tuono V4 1100, 2015 Caponord 1200 ABS/ADD, and 2016 Caponord Rally motorcycles manufactured June 18, 2013, to June 13, 2016.
The affected motorcycles have a front brake master cylinder that may allow air into the hydraulic circuit, causing a longer than expected braking distance.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
