What’s wrong with it?
The operator may over-inflate the tires based on the information printed on the Federal Placard, possibly resulting in sudden tire failure, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River, Inc.
(Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2017 Surveyor recreational trailers, model SVT226RLDS, manufactured October 9, 2015, to March 16, 2016.
These vehicles may be equipped with tires and rims that do not match the information listed on the Federal Placard.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
