What’s wrong with it?
If water gets into the controller housing, the controller may short circuit, increasing the risk of an electrical fire.
Halcore Group, Inc.
(Halcore) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Horton ambulances, models 453, 457, 503, 553, 603, and 623, manufactured November 29, 2013, to March 1, 2016.
The affected vehicles may have an improperly sealed Cool-Tech air-conditioning condenser controller wire harness that can allow water to enter the controller housing.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
