The short answer

NHTSA received Winnebago Industries, Inc’s report on Aug 12, 2016. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A loose power connection may cause a build up of heat at the connection, increasing the risk of a fire.

Winnebago Industries, Inc (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Itasca Cambria, 2015-2017 Winnebago ERA, Travato, Fuse, Aspect, and Vista recreational vehicles, and 2015-2017 Itasca Sunstar recreational vehicles manufactured May 6, 2014, to April 22, 2016.

The affected vehicles may have a electrical connection to the automatic transfer switch (ATS) that may not be properly tightened.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
