What’s wrong with it?
If the vehicle is loaded to a weight greater than 18,000 lbs, the pin box can fail, possibly resulting in the trailer separating from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2017 Dutchmen Voltage toy hauler fifth wheel trailers manufactured March 11, 2016, to June 14, 2016.
The affected vehicles were incorrectly built with a 18,000 lb rated fifth wheel pin box hitch instead of a 21,000 lb rated hitch.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
