What’s wrong with it?
If the parking brake chamber fails while the trailer is parked, the trailer may roll away, increasing the risk of crash or injury.
Stoughton Trailers, LLC (Stoughton) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 trailers manufactured March 13, 2014, to April 28, 2016, equipped with certain Bendix SR5 spring brake valves.
These valves may have been improperly machined which may cause the parking brake chamber to fail while the trailer is parked.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
