What’s wrong with it?
A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc.
(MFTA) is recalling certain model year 2012-2016 FEC52, FEC72, FEC92 trucks manufactured February 4, 2011, to March 31, 2015, and 2012-2015 FGB72 trucks manufactured June 22, 2011, to April 8, 2014.
The affected vehicles are equipped with an optional cold weather PVC heater kit.
In these vehicles, the PVC pipe heater wiring may chafe on a metal clamp possibly resulting in the wire short circuiting.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
