The short answer

NHTSA received Kalmar Solutions, LLC’s report on Feb 9, 2016. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 26, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Exposure to moisture or rubbing from mounting bolts may result in an electrical short which can increase the risk of a fire.

Kalmar Solutions, LLC (Kalmar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Ottawa T2 trucks manufactured July 14, 2014, to November 2, 2015.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a chassis power board that is not protected from moisture.

Additionally, the bolts that mount the chassis power board may rub against the circuit board and cause an electrical short.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
