What’s wrong with it?
If the seat moves in the event of a crash, the seat occupant would be at an increased risk of injury.
EVS, Ltd.
(EVS) is recalling certain EVS emergency vehicle seats, model numbers 1880, 1870, 1780, 1770, 1740, 1750, 1800, 1850, 1900, and 2000.
The affected seats are equipped with Dometic/Atwood slide tracks that may not properly engage, allowing seats to move in the event of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, “Seating Systems,” and 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
