What’s wrong with it?
A separation of the torsion arm can result in a loss of trailer stability and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Charmac Trailers Inc.
(Charmac) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Horse and Cargo trailers manufactured March 16, 2015, to September 25, 2015, and equipped with certain 3500lb-capacity torsion model axles.
The weld that secures the torsion arm assembly may fail allowing the tire, wheel, hub, and torsion arm to separate from the trailer.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
