What’s wrong with it?
An unexpected surge in water pressure to the fire hose can increase the risk of injury to the hose operator or those nearby.
Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Arrow XT, Quantum, Velocity, Impel, and Saber fire-fighting vehicles manufactured June 19, 2013, to July 31, 2014.
The affected vehicles have fire hose water pressure regulators that may not respond consistently to operator input and, as a result, there may be an unexpected water pressure surge to the fire hose.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
