What’s wrong with it?
The overheating of the water may result in the release of steam, possibly causing the operator to scald themselves and increasing the risk of injury.
Winnebago Industries, Inc.
(Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Winnebago Journey and Adventurer motorhomes, and 2015 Itasca Meridian and Suncruiser motorhomes manufactured March 20, 2014, through November 6, 2015, and equipped with Atwood on demand water heaters, models OD45, OD50, and OD50CW.
The affected water heaters have a water and gas valve that may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
