Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If the bearings move out of position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheel chair lift platform to fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury for the lift operator.
Dodgen Industries, Inc.
(Dodgen) is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 Mobility RV’s manufactured January 1, 2006, to November 24, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured January 1, 2006, to August 25, 2014 by Ricon.
The affected lifts are equipped with folding link arms that may have pivot holes that are too big, allowing the bearings to move out of position.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
