What’s wrong with it?
The loss of steering ability may increase the risk of a crash.
Terex Advance (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 FD4000B, FD5000D, FD6000B, and FD7000B concrete mixers manufactured January 1, 2011, to September 1, 2015.
The affected vehicles have steerable tag axles operated by Eaton Hydraulics S26 Gear Pumps.
These gear pumps may unexpectedly fail, reducing the ability to properly steer the vehicle.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
