What’s wrong with it?
If the wheel bearings overheat, there is an increased risk of a wheel end fire.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Mountain Aire motorhomes manufactured October 16, 2006, to July 24, 2007, 2007-2008 Essex motorhomes manufactured November 1, 2006, to May 24, 2007 and 2007-2008 Dutch Star motorhomes manufactured October 12, 2006, to June 29, 2007.
The affected vehicles have tag axles with wheel bearings that may be adjusted too tight, resulting in their overheating during use.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
