What’s wrong with it?
A vehicle stall increases the risk of a crash.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.
(MBUSA) is recalling certain model year 2015 S550 Hybrid vehicles manufactured May 13, 2013 to April 22, 2015.
In the affected vehicles, after driving in electric mode, the fuel pump output may be insufficient to restart the gasoline engine and the vehicle will stall.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
