What’s wrong with it?
If the side-stand breaks, the motorcyle would fall over, increasing the risk of injury to the rider and/or the passenger.
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S motorcycles manufactured December 1, 2014, to June 11, 2015.
In the affected vehicles, the side-stand may break, due to an incorrect length of the side-stand support tube.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
