The short answer

NHTSA received Corp. Micro Bird Inc.’s report on Aug 31, 2015. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the feeder stud is corroded, a short circuit may result, increasing the risk of a fire. If the battery box mounting bolts are missing, the battery and box may detach causing damage to other components.

Corp.

Micro Bird Inc.

(Micro Bird) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 G5 school buses manufactured March 25, 2013, to May 1, 2015.

Additionally, bolts designed to mount the battery box may also be missing.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
