The short answer

NHTSA received East Manufacturing Corp.’s report on Aug 24, 2015. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If there is a lack of grease in the wheel end hubs, the wheel bearings may overheat, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. There is also the possibility that the wheel can come off the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

East Manufacturing Corp.

(East) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Refuse, Dump, Dolly Tipper Genesis, Frame Genesis, Frameless Genesis, Frame S&P, and Truck Dolly trailers manufactured August 26, 2013, to February 24, 2015.

The affected trailers may have an insufficient amount of grease in the wheel end hubs.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
