What’s wrong with it?
If the vehicle is loaded to the listed capacity, the rear axle or tires may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
Transportation Collaborative, Inc.
(TCI) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Trans Tech Bus Student Safety Transporter school buses manufactured December 1, 2012, to April 23, 2015.
The affected vehicles were built to accommodate 35 children or 23 adults.
However, when the bus is loaded to this capacity, the load may exceed the rated capacity of the rear axle and tires.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
