What’s wrong with it?
If the rivet shears under occupant load, the steps may give and the occupant may fall, increasing the risk of personal injury.
New Horizons RV Corporation (New Horizons) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Summit and Majestic recreational vehicles manufactured March 11, 2013, to January 30, 2015.
In the affected vehicles, a rivet for the quad entry steps may shear and fail, causing the steps to give when being used.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
