What’s wrong with it?
If the brakes drag and overheat there is an increased risk of a wheel end fire.
Navistar, Inc.
(Navistar) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 IC CE school buses manufactured August 8, 2014, to February 20, 2015, and 2015-2016 IC RE school buses manufactured July 31, 2014, to January 9, 2015, equipped with Haldex air brake actuators.
The affected brake actuators may have been manufactured with an incomplete attachment of the internal rubber diaphragm to the actuation mechanism.
This could cause dragging or overheated brakes.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
