The short answer

NHTSA received Forest River, Inc.’s report on Mar 18, 2015. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Exhaust fumes inside the trailer may result in carbon-monoxide poisoning, increasing the risk of occupant injury. A heat build up, increases the risk of a fire.

Forest River, Inc.

(Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2014 Palomino SolAire trailers manufactured July 1, 2014, to August 31, 2014.

The affected vehicles may have been manufactured without an exterior furnace vent causing exhaust fumes to be vented into the trailer.

Additionally, the lack of a furnace vent may result in a heat buildup around the furnace.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
