Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If the seat belt retractor does not lock, the seat occupant may not be properly restrained during a vehicle crash, increasing their risk of personal injury.
Prevost Cars, Inc.
(Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2014 X3-45 commuter coaches manufactured October 1, 2014, to January 29, 2015, and equipped with Recaro-brand driver seats with a two-point seat belt and inward-facing retractor configuration.
These seats have a seat belt retractor that may not lock as intended when the occupant has the seat in the full back position.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
