What’s wrong with it?
If the instrument panel doesn’t display warnings, the driver may be unaware that braking force is reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2015 Freightliner Business Class M2 vehicles manufactured June 4, 2014, to December 1, 2014 that are equipped with hydraulic brakes and a Bosch Hydro-Max Brake Boost Pump.
Due to an incompatibility between the boost pump switch and the instrument cluster, certain instrument display brake warnings may not illuminate correctly when there is a problem with the brake system.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
