Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If the platform side plates crack, the lift platform can separate from the lift and come to rest against the vehicle’s lift door. When the doors are opened, the platform may fall out, increasing the risk of injury to the lift operator.
Frontline Communications (Frontline) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Mobile Medical Unit vehicles manufactured from December 13, 2007, to February 17, 2011, and equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by Ricon Corporation.
The platform side plate of the affected wheelchair lifts may crack.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
