What’s wrong with it?
A lamp that overheats increases the risk of injury or fire.
ECCO is recalling certain portable and magnetically mountable LED Worklamps, part numbers EW2461 and EW2461-NA, manufactured October 1, 2014, to February 11, 2015.
The affected work/utility lamps are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that can be charged using a vehicle charger (12 volt adapter) or an AC adapter.
These lamps may overheat.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
