The short answer

NHTSA received Robert Bosch LLC’s report on Apr 6, 2015. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle will not start, or if the engine is running, it will stop and the vehicle will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Various vehicle manufacturers are recalling vehicles that were built with certain Bosch Fuel Delivery Modules manufactured September 9, 2013, to April 16, 2014.

Improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in the fuel pump failing.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
