What’s wrong with it?
Arcing of the alternator cable may result in an engine compartment fire.
Nova Bus is recalling certain N67588 alternator cables manufactured December 1, 2011, to December 1, 2013 and sold as service parts for 2010-2014 LFS transit buses.
The affected alternator cables may have been damaged during installation.
This damage can cause the cable terminal to fracture and result in the cable arcing to other components.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
