The short answer

NHTSA received Graco Children’s Products Inc.’s report on Mar 18, 2015. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 19, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the label does not inform the seat owner of the instruction manual’s location, the owner may not be able to refer to it and may use the seat improperly, increasing the risk of injury to the child in the event of a crash.

Graco Children’s Products Inc.

(Graco) is recalling certain ComfortSport child restraints, model numbers 1813040 and 1794333; Ready Ride child restraints, model numbers 1924520 and 1924519; and Classic Ride child restraints, model number 1812930.

These seats were manufactured between March 1, 2014, and February 28, 2015.

The affected convertible child restraints are missing a statement on the affixed label that informs of location of the instruction manual.

Without the notice on the fixed label, these seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213 “Child Restraint Systems.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
