What’s wrong with it?
If the suspension fluid tank mount fractures and the tank separates from the chassis, the tank may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ameritrans Bus, Inc.
(Ameritrans) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 F330 transit buses built on F550 chassis manufactured May 23, 2013, to March 19, 2014 and 2013 R330 transit buses built on Ram 5500 chassis manufactured September 1, 2014, to October 31, 2014.
The affected vehicles are equipped with LiquidSpring-brand aftermarket suspension kits.
The mounting bracket that attaches the suspension fluid tank to the frame may fail, allowing the fluid tank to separate from the vehicle.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
