Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
An incorrectly installed seat pedestal can cause the seat to detach from the floor, failing to retrain the occupant and increasing the risk of occupant injury in the event of a vehicle crash.
Allied Recreation Group, Inc.
(ARG) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Fleetwood Excursion vehicles manufactured July 16, 2013, to November 5, 2014, and 2015 Holiday Rambler Ambassador vehicles manufactured August 7, 2014, to October 23, 2014.
On the affected vehicles, a seat pedestal mounting support bracket may not have been installed according to engineering specifications.
Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 207, “Seating Systems,” and No. 210 “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
