What’s wrong with it?
If the engine stalls unexpectedly there is an increased risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2015 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, and M2 Business Class; Thomas Built Buses HDX; Western Star 4700; and FCCC MBC, MC, MT45, MT55, S2C 106CAB, Sport M2 106, XBR, XBS, XCL,XCM, XCR, and XCS vehicles manufactured May 2, 2014, to July 31, 2014.
The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
