What’s wrong with it?
In the event of a crash, the metal ceiling joint may split apart, increasing the risk of injury to the passengers.
Lion Bus Inc.
(Lion Bus) is recalling certain model year 2013 and 2014 360 school buses manufactured August 30, 2012, to December 14, 2012.
Adhesive may not have been applied properly to the joint between the metal ceiling panels.
As such, the buses may not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 221, “School Bus Body Joint Strength.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
