What’s wrong with it?
Damage to the fuel line may cause a propane leak which may result in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a propane leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
Collins Bus Corporation (Collins) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 DH500, DH516, DH516WR, DE500, and DE516WR school buses manufactured May 18, 2012, to May 30, 2014.
In the affected vehicles, the propane fuel line may rub on the third body mount bolt on the left rear of the frame rail possibly resulting in damage to the propane fuel line.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
