Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If the air disk brake caliper has loose or missing bolts, the air disk brake caliper may come loose from the mounting plate causing the vehicle to pull left or right while braking and lengthening the distance needed to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Navistar, Inc.
(Navistar) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 International DuraStar vehicles manufactured November 2012 through December 2013, International WorkStar vehicles manufactured December 2012 through January 2014, and 2014-2015 International TranStar and International ProStar vehicles manufactured January 2013 through February 2014.
The affected vehicles are built with air disc brake feature codes 04WEY, 04WEZ, or 04WZK.
These vehicles may have an incorrect number of bolts mounting the brake caliper to the caliper mounting plate and some of the bolts may be improperly torqued.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
