What’s wrong with it?

If the microwave starts on its own and there are contents inside, a fire could result.

Jayco, Inc.

(Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Seneca, Pinnacle, and Eagle Premier, and 2014 Precept motorhomes and fifth wheels manufactured January 14, 2013, through August 26, 2013, and equipped with Electrolux/Frigidaire KG series microwaves, models CFMV152CLB and CFMV154CLS, manufactured January 27, 2013, through April 10, 2013, in the serial number range KG30607951 through KG31600670.

In the affected vehicles, the microwave may start on its own and begin heating when unattended.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
