What’s wrong with it?
Bolt contact with the CNG cylinder may damage the CNG fuel cylinder, potentially causing a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
NABI Bus, LLC (NABI) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 40LFW transit buses manufactured October 5, 2012, through March 17, 2014, 2013 35LFW transit buses manufactured October 21, 2013, through January 14, 2014, and 2013 31LFW transit buses manufactured February 10, 2013, through October 19, 2013, and equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems.
In the subject vehicles, a bolt on the latch assembly that holds the CNG top covers closed may come into contact with the CNG fuel cylinder.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
