The short answer
NHTSA received Intercontinental Truck Body’s report on Feb 20, 2014. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.
Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. A person inside the cube van at the time will then be locked in and be unable to exit the vehicle without using the pass through to the vehicle cab, increasing the risk of injury.
Intercontinental Truck Body (ITB) is recalling certain model year 2010-2013 Cube Vans manufactured May 28, 2010, through June 7, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks.
It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
