The short answer

NHTSA received PACCAR Incorporated’s report on Jan 29, 2014. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 23, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

If the parking brake is on the non-driven axle the vehicle could roll away when the parking brakes are set, resulting in an increased risk of a crash.

PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR)is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 T660, and T680 vehicles manufactured from December 4, 2012, through September 17, 2013 and configured as a dead axle tandem with air disc brakes and spring brake delete options.

The affected vehicles have the parking brake incorrectly placed on the non-driven rear axle.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
